Transmissible Cancer Group

Throughout my Biological Sciences BSc at Imperial College London I developed a keen interest in genomics, and how it can be used to deepen our understanding of evolution. I gained a particular fascination with transmissible cancers due to the unique insights they can offer into cancer evolution. I am currently completing a 10-week internship with the Transmissible Cancer Group, aiming to characterise the homogenously staining region of CTVT chromosomes, predicted to be the result of mass ribosomal DNA expansion.
