Biography
Max is working on Tasmanian Devil Transmissible Cancer genetics, covering mainly computational analyses of next-generation DNA and RNA sequencing. He undertook his undergraduate degree at the University of Freiburg, Germany and joined the group as a Gates Cambridge PhD scholar in 2016.
During his PhD, Max co-founded the mobile DNA sequencing collective PuntSeq. Using Oxford Nanopore's MinION technology, his team has done an extensive mapping of bacteria in the River Cam.
