Jonathan graduated in veterinary medicine in 2024 and completed his final year project with TCG investigating the macro structure of N-HT1, a horizontal gene transfer element identified in CTVT-A, the oldest and most divergent sublineage of canine transmissible venereal tumour.
For his project he completed a month of fieldwork in Nepal working with collaborators in Kathmandu to collect samples from dogs around the city. He processed the samples using them to make metaphase spreads which were later analysed using FISH.
