During my Biological Sciences BSc at Imperial College London, I developed a strong interest in genomics and its potential to enhance our understanding of evolutionary processes. I became particularly fascinated by transmissible cancers, which provide unique insights into the evolution of cancer. Following the completion of a 10-week rotation project with the Transmissible Cancer Group in early 2025, I began my PhD, which focuses on characterising repeat array expansions and transposable element activity in CTVT.
